Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan Meets with Japanese Delegation of Business Circle in Beijing

  

On September 22, Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan met with the Japanese Delegation of the Business Circle led by the President of Japan-China Economic Association Shoji Muneoka, Chairman of Japan Business Federation Sakakibara Sadayuki and Chairman of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Akio Mimura, and had discussions with them. The leaders and representatives of Japanese enterprises, all about 230 people, attended the meeting.

Gao Yan said that, G20 Hangzhou Summit was held successfully, and has gained fruitful achievements, with great consensus on further boosting the world economy reached. The world economic recovery is standing at a new start. China will further optimize the management system of opening up, relax the control on market access, and create a steadier, fairer and more transparent policy environment. China will be more open, which will bring more opportunities to the enterprises in the whole world including Japanese enterprises.

Gao said that, when meeting with the Japanese leaders, President Xi Jinping pointed out that the two countries could strengthen communications on macroeconomic policy, and promote the cooperation level in all fields. Yesterday, Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met with the delegation, fully showing that the Chinese government pays great attention to China-Japan economic and trade relation. China and Japan are important neighbors and economic and trade partners, the bilateral economic and trade cooperation has brought substantial benefits to the two countries and their people, and has also laid a solid foundation to the long-term development of China-Japan relation. She hoped that the Japanese business circle would continue to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and promote the Japanese government to make bigger efforts to optimize bilateral relation; and strengthen the cooperation in the fields of innovation, Olympic economy, energy conservation and environment protection, logistics and local cooperation, making efforts to gain more practical achievements and promote China-Japan economic and trade cooperation to a new level.

The three leaders of the delegation said that, Japan and China are the third and second largest economies in the world respectively. Developing Japan-China relation not only conforms to the fundamental interests of the two countries, but also contributes to the economic growth and prosperity of Asia and of even the world. China is the irreplaceable partner of Japan, and they expect a steady development of Japan-China relation. In the future, they are willing to make active efforts to further expand bilateral economic and trade relation and reciprocal cooperation.

The two parties exchanged views in e-commerce, logistics, health and medical treatment, optimizing business environment and exploiting the third-party market jointly.
